Very nice place with an unique atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the food is just something separate, can’t even explain, I guess you just have to try and see. I had an amazing afternoon at Fancett’s.

202405 simply delightful The lunch menu is less complicated than the dinner one, and yet still beautifully executed. Perfectly satisfying and not too heavy. The beef carpaccio is gorgeous. Tender and melts in mouth. The anchovy mayo isn’t too greasy, brining more umami and a little citrusy flavor. Adding on to that is the nutty Parmesan. So harmonious. Confit guinea fowl leg is also nicely cooked. Tender dark meat with a slightly crispy skin. Not too oily and lightly seasoned. I’m glad that the salad of French beans doesn’t come raw. The Morteau sausage tastes good too. My friend’s hake and cheese souffle also looks nice. (Some how we ordered red/white only plates :3) Lunchtime dessert doesn’t look so tempting so we’ll see next time at dinner. The space is small, but very cozy and not crowded at all. The staff are friendly. The kitchen team is organized and food came promptly. It isn’t always easy to find a table and I was lucky to get one before the price increases. Looking forward to coming back for lunch or dinner.

Sublime dining experience! The food was just excellent, particularly enjoyed the Guinea Fowl. Service is impeccable and a nice ambiance, if not possibly a little dark. Reading glasses definitely needed if you’re old enough...

We came for lunch and had booked a few weeks in advance. Food was amazing - I can see why the ratings are so high! The fowl leg was incredibly juicy and tender, the moules marinieres came in the most creamy delicious sauce and the cod was beautifully crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The tartare sauce it came with was a bit flavourless but aside from that, no complaints - and the plating of everything was lovely. Really recommend trying everything on the menu!! Restaurant itself is quite tiny but it meant the ambience felt intimate and service was extremely quick and efficient, the food came out without much of a wait. Also love how the service charge is incorporated into the menu as well. Incredibly hard to get a meal of this quality for this price anywhere else!!
